Zack & Laura Rodriguez
Associate Pastors & Youth Pastors
Zack and Laura (Rocky) Rodriguez moved to Grand Lake from Baton Rouge in 2015. In addition to being on our leadership board, Zack is Director of Student Ministries. He and Laura pastor our youth group. Laura is a worship team leader. Zack plays drums on the worship team. They grew up in Christian families, but both say they reached a time when they realized being in a Christian home does not necessarily make you right with God. Zach remembers the first time he realized he was a sinner and felt his personal need for Christ—not just to know about Him but to know Him personally. Starting the next day after that realization, his life began to radically change. He started by just reading the Bible for himself and fell in love with Jesus Christ more and more as he read. Laura was 13 when she realized her parents’ salvation were not her own. A work in progress, she says God faithfully pursued her throughout her teenage years until she rededicated her life to Christ shortly after high school. Since putting Christ first, Laura says her personal relationship with Him brings meaning and purpose to everything she does.
She enjoys spending time with all age groups because Christ has delivered her from shyness! She has ministered to children and served on church worship teams for over 10 years. Zach has ministered to children, youth and adults, and his greatest passion is evangelism.
Zack is co-founder of a Baton Rouge non-profit organization called Love Thy Neighbor that provides Bibles, meals, clothing , and encouragement to needy and marginalized people while pointing them to Christ. They both attended Southern Louisiana University in Hammond. Zack has on undergraduate degree in General Management and his Master’s in Business Administration. After graduation, he was employed for 3 years as a Senior Auditor for the LA Legislature, before relocating to help us build the kingdom of God here at the Vineyard. He is presently employed at Sowela Technical Community College as a Senior Accountant in their Business Office. Laura has her undergraduate degree and Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders. After graduation she was employed as a speech Therapist for elementary schools in Katy, Texas and in the inner city in Baton Rouge. She is currently employed at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Lake Charles as a Speech Pathologist.
Selena comes to Lake Charles Vineyard from a lot of places around the world, but considers herself a Tennessean. For the past 8 years she has served as the Children’s Pastor at the Vineyard in Florence, Kentucky where the Lord added a husband, Steve, and a son, Noah, to her family.
Selena received her formal education from Liberty University and Bethel Baptist Seminary. She would say that the best education she has received has come from the Lord, His Word, and His people through the years.
Selena is a person who loves people and is passionate about knowing God and making Him known. She feels that the best investment of her life is, and has been for the past 30 years, with the children.

(Milton) Paul Landry III was born December 5, 1976, grew up in Lake Charles, graduated from LaGrange High School in 1994, and served in the US Army 1994-1997. After years of living in disobedience to God, Paul was born AGAIN July 20, 2000 as he repented and committed his life to Christ. Just three days later, on July 23, 2000, as God would have it, Paul came to the Vineyard. We were a new church plant just 6 months old with about 35 people. We were in a small office building which is now the feed store next door to the church. Paul was eager to be baptized to be obedient to the command of Christ, be we had no baptistery. So all the church went over to Kelly and Judy Vigo’s house one afternoon after church. On August 12, 2000 Paul Landry went down into the Vigo’s swimming pool, made a public profession of his faith in Jesus Christ, was baptized under water and came up a new man! The church rejoiced! Then came the process of sanctification as he struggled to over come drug addiction. Satan tried over and over to keep Paul in bondage to his past. At first, Paul would stumble, repent, cry a bucket of tears. But he would hold on to Christ and the people in the church who loved him, and GET BACK UP!! We kept holding him up in prayer and standing by him. He kept getting back up, trusting God, and sticking with us...and ONE DAY…Paul got up from a fall that became his LAST. God set him on Solid Rock. He got a job and stayed faithful, he got promoted to General Manager and stayed faithful, he served in the church and stayed faithful: Resident overseer of My Father’s House (church recovery home for men), helped in youth ministry; organized small events (men’s prayer breakfast, garage sale); short term missions, small group leader’ Vineyard Prayer Team. As Paul remained faithful, delivered from his past year after year, God did another miracle in his life. He sent Shanna (Faulk) Landry, a beautiful Christian woman from Sulphur LA raising her two precious children as a single parent. Kelly married them here at the Vineyard on April 19, 2013. Now, two and a half years later, Shanna & Paul have had two more baby girls! Kelly has asked him along with Louis and Zack to preach from time to time. He feels the call of God on his life. They have 4 children.
Kim Hornsby, formerly of Cameron parish, has been a resident of Lake Charles since 2004 when she married her husband, Steve. Kim recently joined the staff of Vineyard as the church secretary. She is in the office Monday - Thursday. Steve, Kim, and their children, Kass, Kirstyn, and Kinnon began attending Vineyard in 2002. Today, they are the proud grandparents of four grandchildren: Carter, Brynli, Owen, and Aubri. Steve has been with CenterPoint Energy Gas Company for over 32 years and Kim has worked in administration for nearly 30 years. Together, they began a local small business as a canine boarding facility. Steve and Kim both have a deep love for the Lord and have always shared this with others. Vineyard is their home and they welcome everyone just as they are.
