Kelly and Judy Vigo

Church Founders

In June of 2019, Kelly went to be with the Lord. He was very loved by our church and by many others outside of the Vineyard family. He is survived by his wife Judy, two children and multiple grandchildren.

Kelly Vigo and his wife Judy Vigo both grew up in Lake Charles and have a love for people. Before starting the Vineyard, Kelly spent 26 years preaching in prisons around SWLA. Judy has always served as a board member in our church, and continues to serve in that capacity today. Kelly and Judy were married for over 30 years and their marriage was one of the greatest assets of their ministry.

Kelly and Judy have never taken a salary from the church.

Zack and Laura Rodriguez

Lead Pastors

Zack and Laura moved to Lake Charles in 2015 to serve the church in various capacities. Prior to working at the church full-time, Zack worked in the private and public sector as an accountant and an auditor, as well as managing several ministry projects. Zack currently serves as the Lead Pastor here at the Vineyard. 

Laura is employed as a Speech Pathologist in the Lake Charles area. She has also ministered to women and children and served on church worship teams for over 10 years.

Zack and Laura met while pursuing their graduate degrees at Southeastern Louisiana University. They were married in 2013, and they currently have 2 children, Jackson and Rosie.

Don and Mary Bradley

Worship Pastor and Young Adult Ministers

Don and Mary Bradley are life-time residents of Lake Charles and joined the Vineyard in 2004. They both have served long-time careers in law enforcement with the City of Lake Charles Police Department. Don is now a retired Lieutenant of the LCPD and works at Toyota.

Don volunteers as the worship pastor here at vineyard, Mary volunteers in the children's ministry, and together they lead a young adults bible study and volunteer on the prayer team.

They have 5 grown children and 9 grandchildren.

Hunter and Alaina Rutz

Media Director, Small Groups Director, Children's Director

Alaina grew up in Lake Charles and began attending the Vineyard in 2013. Since then she has been a faithful servant in our children's ministry, and joined the staff as Children’s Director in 2018. 

Hunter grew up in Moss Bluff and began attending the Vineyard in 2015. From our online presence to our Sunday morning services, Hunter has volunteered to help us stay culturally current since January of 2016, joined the staff as Media Director in 2018, and took on the additional role of Small Groups Director in 2020.

Hunter and Alaina met at the Vineyard and were married here in March of 2019.

Kim Hornsby

Church Secretary

Kim Hornsby, her husband Steve, and their family began attending the Vineyard in 2002. Kim has worked in the administrative field for nearly 30 years and joined the Vineyard staff as the church secretary in 2017. Kim and Steve also own and operate a local small business as a canine boarding facility.

They have 3 kids and four grandchildren.
