We value the Bible as the inspired Word of God. As evangelical Christians, the Bible is our final Authority. Our approach to life and ministry is shaped by the counsel of scripture.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

- 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We consider prayer essential. It is our primary means of communion with God.

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 

- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

We honor Christ as our Lord and seek to follow the Holy Spirit as our daily Counselor & Guide

And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you. Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 

- Romans 8:11-14

We see relationships with others as our highest priority after submission to God. We recognize that evidence of true believers is the love we show others—especially those we are closest to.

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” 

- Matthew 22:36-40

Our intent is to teach all believers to believe Jesus’ words, obey His commands, and do His work.

It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare Gods people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

- Ephesians 4:11-13

We see leadership as a function, not a title. We believe the Lord has placed significant leadership authority in the hands of the pastor and his associates, but that it must be exercised in servant-hood, with humility, selflessness, grace, and true concern for the welfare church family. 

To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow-elder, a witness of Christ’s sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be, not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility towards one another, because, “God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

We embrace change as the necessity of growth and Kingdom effectiveness. In the words of Bert Waggoner, the former National Director of the Vineyard, “We are called to be a force of spiritual revolution, not a stagnant institution.” We embrace non-religious styles of Bible teaching that are relevant to the times we live in. We also use contemporary worship practices  and modern technology to advance the Kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 9:20-23 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law). So as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. 

- 1 Corinthians 2:2-3

We want to be "naturally supernatural" by avoiding theatrics, melodrama, manipulation, coercion or pretense. It's important we become real people serving a real God, abstaining from behavior that gives glory to ourselves. It’s all about Jesus.

For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.

- 1 Corinthians 2:2-3

We desire to be people who would not just hear, but also do the words and works of Christ.

We desire to be continually changing to be more like Jesus, so that more of His love, mercy, grace, truth, purity, power and integrity would shine through all that we are and do.

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
